Howard County Plays

Howard County Plays is a partnering of the Downtown Columbia Arts and Culture Commission, Jordan Kitt’s Music, and the Columbia Festival of the Arts to promote music education and performance throughout Howard County. 

Affiliates includes organizations such as the Columbia Orchestra, Maryland Winds, Columbia Jazz Band, Columbia School of Rock, Olenka School of Music, Howard County Concert Orchestra, Columbia Big Band, and the Maryland Music Educators Association, among others.

About the Downtown Columbia Arts and Culture Commission (DCACC)

The Downtown Columbia Arts and Culture Commission is a not-for-profit community organization dedicated to enhancing the vibrancy of downtown Columbia, Maryland.

The DCACC works to expand artistic and cultural activities in and around downtown Columbia and at Merriweather Post Pavilion, the world-class amphitheater in the heart of our community.  You can find out more about the DCACC here.

About Jordan Kitt’s Music

Jordan Kitt’s Music has been Howard County’s home of pianos, lessons, rentals, service and piano performance and educational outreach for over a century.

Having taught millions of children and adults to play, and as a strong supporter and partner of music teachers and music teacher organizations throughout the state of Maryland, Jordan Kitt’s continues to take an active part in the promotion of music education and performance throughout Howard County.  Learn more about Jordan Kitt’s Music here.

About the Columbia Festival of the Arts

The mission of the Columbia Festival of the Arts is to present a world class celebration of the arts and entertainment that attracts, engages, and inspires the broad and diverse community it serves. Each year, the Columbia Festival of the Arts presents a two-week summer festival that provides unique arts and entertainment experiences for the region surrounding Columbia, Maryland.
