“Woodstock” The Movie at Merriweather Post Pavillion

Celebrate the 50th anniversay of Woodstock with a screening of the original documentary at Merriweather Post Pavilion! The iconic festival started as “3 days of Peace and Music” and became an American cultural touchstone. Join us as we celebrate the iconic festival’s legacy with us at one of America’s finest concert venues.

The film will be screened on the lawn only, so grab a blanket and friends and join the fun! (In the event of rain, the film will be screened inside the pavilion.)

Gates will open at 6 pm and the show will start promptly at 7 pm. The film is just over three hours long.

Merriweather Post Pavilion concession stands will be open serving food and beverages at community pricing levels.

Parking: General parking will be available in Merriweather Lots 2 and 4 (see map), and ADA parking is avaiable immediately adjacent to the West Box Office and in Lot 1. http://merriweathermusic.com/parking/

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

The film is rated R, so youth 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

What can I bring into the event?

  • Only one empty or factory-sealed water bottle allowed per customer, refer to show for exceptions.
  • No outside beverages.
  • Personal food items in clear, disposable, non-glass container are permitted. (1 per guest)

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, but guests must either bring a printed or digital copy of the ticket.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn’t match the person who attends?

Yes.

What kind of seating is available?

We are planning to screen the films on the lawn only, unless it rains. Guests are welcome to bring blankets or lawn chairs. In the event of rain, we will move the screening inside the pavilion.
